Our first label, ANIMA BIANCA IGP PUGLIA, participated in the XXI Città del Vino international wine competition, earning the silver medal. It is a very important first goal for us which encourages us and satisfies us for the work done so far.
Arrived at XXI edizione del Concorso Enologico Internazionale Città del Vino, known as the Mayor's Selection, presents itself with a renewed name and proposals. It is organized by the National Association of Wine Cities with the authorization of Masaf (Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry) and the scientific support ofOIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine). The spirit is to reiterate the value of the relationship between wine and territory by rewarding companies and municipalities together. Mayors and producers are thus ideally united in the promotion of winemaking traditions and excellence. The Competition, due to its itinerant and international nature, took place in the previous nineteen editions in some of the the most important wine cities Italian, while the 2015 edition took place in Portugal. Every year around 60 commissioners participate in the tasting sessions between oenologists, buyers, importers, technicians and journalists from Italy and abroad, to whom we give the opportunity to get to know, more closely, the wines in competition and the territories from which they come. All categories of wines can be entered, as long as they are DOP (Doc and Docg) and IGP. Grand Gold, Gold and Silver Medals are up for grabs, for what can be considered by the wineries, once they have obtained the medal, a certificate of certification of the quality of their wines.
